TL;DR

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir approved Rosh HaAyin, Yavne, Even Yehuda, and the Hevel Modi'in Regional Council as eligible for personal firearms licenses. Since the reform's expansion, over 270,000 Israelis have received gun licenses, according to the Minister.

01 · THE DISPATCH

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced the approval of four additional communities as eligible for personal firearms licenses: the cities of Rosh HaAyin, Yavne, and Even Yehuda, along with the Hevel Modi'in Regional Council (which includes 14 towns and villages). According to the Minister, over 270,000 Israelis have received firearm licenses since the gun reform was expanded, a figure he called unprecedented. The approval followed a professional review by Israel Police and the Firearms Licensing and Supervision Division. Residents of these communities may now apply for licenses subject to legal criteria. As The Zioneer reported earlier today (Mon 18:38), the overall figure of over 270,000 newly licensed civilians had already been announced. The reform was initiated by Ben Gvir earlier this year and has gradually expanded the list of eligible localities.
