Jerusalem District police arrested Abraham Raymond, 25, on suspicion of sex offenses against a 15-year-old boy, saying the suspect allegedly contacted the victim via Instagram. His arrest was extended until Monday, and police are urging anyone else who may have been harmed to come forward.
At 14:30 Jerusalem, police updated their statement to say that the suspect, Abraham Raymond, 25, allegedly contacted the 15-year-old victim through Instagram. The development is the latest in a thread that began at 14:16 Jerusalem, when The Zioneer first reported the arrest of a Bnei Brak resident on suspicion of sex offenses against a 15-year-old boy, citing ynet. At the same time, police identified the suspect as Avraham Raymond, a 25-year-old Bnei Brak resident, and announced that his arrest had been extended until Monday. The Instagram detail was not included in that initial police statement.
The Zioneer has previously reported on a separate incident in Bnei Brak: on June 8, a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing an indecent act against a 6-year-old boy. That case remains under investigation.
Police are urging anyone else who may have been harmed by Raymond to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
