01 · THE DISPATCH

Border Police in Lod arrested a 42-year-old East Jerusalem woman after a vehicle chase Tuesday evening, leading to the discovery of 47 illegal Palestinian entrants from Judea and Samaria in two separate operations, police said.

The pursuit began when the driver allegedly refused to stop and fled, endangering lives. Officers followed her to a residential compound, where three suspects fled toward an apartment. Inside, forces found 35 Palestinians hiding illegally in Israel. The driver was arrested and taken for questioning.

In a separate operation, Border Police and Central District officers stopped a minibus in Lod and found another 12 illegal entrants inside. The driver was arrested on suspicion of transporting them for payment.

As The Zioneer reported earlier today, the same operation was initially described as a morning raid. This evening’s update adds the details of the chase and the driver’s identity. Illegal entry attempts continue to be a challenge for law enforcement, with similar operations reported recently at the Rantis crossing and in Ramla, according to The Zioneer’s previous reporting.
