A bridge near the village of Mayaki in the Odesa region was damaged during a night attack, according to Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shari. The bridge is a critical artery for grain exports and military supplies to the Danube ports. Traffic is blocked and a long line of vehicles has formed.
The attack on the bridge at Mayaki targets a key infrastructure link connecting Ukraine's inland regions to the Danube ports of Reni and Izmail, which have become Ukraine's primary maritime export route after Russian attacks on the Greater Odesa ports. The bridge also serves military logistics for the southern group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to Shari, the damage has blocked traffic, with a long queue forming. Damage extent and any casualties are not yet reported. The Zioneer has previously reported on Ukraine's campaign to disrupt Russian logistics and infrastructure, including strikes on bridges in Crimea and the Sea of Azov region.
