The Zioneer has previously reported on a series of allegations against Ra'am and its chairman, MK Mansour Abbas. In June, a Channel 14 investigation revealed footage of Abbas meeting with senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad figures in Turkey, leading to a Knesset debate on outlawing the party. A police complaint was filed against Abbas over the conference. Abbas has denied wrongdoing and has sought to distance Ra'am from the Islamic Movement's Shura Council.
