The Defense Ministry has recognized the Association of Haredi Hesder Yeshivas, which unites 15 institutions, granting them administrative independence from the religious hesder yeshiva association and access to budgets from additional bodies, Channel 12's Eli Hirshman reports.
As The Zioneer reported earlier this evening (18:21), the Defense Ministry recognized the new Association of Haredi Hesder Yeshivas. The recognition, reported by Eli Hirshman (N12), means the 15 Haredi hesder yeshivas are no longer subordinate to the existing religious hesder yeshiva association. They now have independent administrative status with government ministries and the IDF, and can access budgets from other sources. The move is part of ongoing efforts to integrate Haredi enlistment into the IDF while accommodating religious observance.
