Dozens of illegal entrants were caught Wednesday night in Rishon LeZion after having crossed into Israeli territory without authorization, according to a report.
The incident follows a series of arrests and encounters with illegal entrants in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Border Police arrested over 70 Palestinians in a building in Ramla, some of whom had entered illegally. Last week, some 50 illegal entrants crossed the Green Line near Tarqumiya without being inspected or detained.
It is not yet clear where the group detained in Rishon LeZion was held, how many exactly were caught, or whether any were detained by police or Border Police.
