Football commentator Eyal Berkovic is currently being questioned under caution by police over a road confrontation with driver Mordechai David. In a parallel development, right-wing activist David was again detained for questioning after blocking journalist Lucy Aharish and her husband Tzachi Halevy outside a courthouse.
The police investigation into a series of road incidents involving football commentator Eyal Berkovic and activist Mordechai David continues. According to reports, Berkovic is currently being questioned under caution — a more serious legal status — regarding his confrontation with David in Tel Aviv last week. Separately, Mordechai David was detained again and taken for questioning after blocking journalist Lucy Aharish and her husband Tzachi Halevy outside a courthouse. David had previously been arrested and questioned for jumping onto Berkovic's car hood, claiming he did so to avoid being run over. The Zioneer has reported that Berkovic filed a police complaint against David earlier this month; David had also filed a counter-complaint. The current questioning of both men appears to expand the legal scope of the affair beyond the initial road incident.
