The Zioneer reported on July 16 that a core group of families had launched a fundraising campaign to bring approximately 30 families to Ganim, a settlement in northern Samaria evacuated in the 2005 disengagement, within a month. On Monday evening, Ofek Gamla, one of the founding families, said that he and his family are set to move to the site in two weeks, and made a final pitch for donations as the campaign closes. Gamla noted that the project includes building a mikveh, a yeshiva, and a soldiers' hospitality corner in memory of his brother-in-law Amichai Rubin, a Golani fighter killed on October 7, and his cousin Shahar Gamla, a deputy company commander in Egoz, killed in Lebanon last month.
