TL;DR

A full draft of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding has been published, outlining a 60-day pathway to a final agreement. According to the draft, the US would gradually lift sanctions, release frozen Iranian assets, and assist in rebuilding Iran's economy. Iran would commit not to develop nuclear weapons, maintain the nuclear status quo, and resume shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. A senior Iranian official said the published details are not entirely accurate and that the official text will be released only after signing.

01 · THE DISPATCH

A full draft of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding (MoU) was published Wednesday afternoon, detailing a 60-day framework toward a final agreement. The draft text, reported by multiple outlets and cited by Iranian-linked channels, states that the US would gradually lift sanctions, release frozen Iranian assets, and contribute to rebuilding Iran's economy. In return, Iran would commit not to develop nuclear weapons, preserve the status quo of its nuclear program until a final accord, and resume shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. The draft also includes mutual commitments to avoid hostile actions and declare an end to fighting across several fronts.

A senior Iranian official disputed the accuracy of the published version, telling media that the official text will be released only after signing. This is the second time a full draft of the MoU has been published in recent days; on Monday, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency published a 14-article version. As The Zioneer reported earlier Wednesday, Bloomberg published a version at 12:38 Jerusalem, and Israeli intelligence assessments raised questions about Tehran's nuclear intentions. A senior Iranian official's caveat at 14:01 leaves the precise terms open until a formal signing takes place.
