The first report from Magen David Adom (MDA) at 16:02 Jerusalem stated that a man aged about 35 was killed and five others were injured in a collision between a minibus and a private car near the Afik junction. Shortly afterward, at 16:02 Jerusalem, MDA corrected the vehicle types to two private cars and raised the casualty count to one killed and nine wounded. In a subsequent update, also timestamped 16:02 Jerusalem, MDA detailed the conditions of the wounded: one man in moderate condition with limb injuries and four lightly wounded. The deceased remained unidentified pending notification of kin.
