Earlier this summer, the airport set new single-day records, exceeding 95,000 passengers in late July, and managed peak traffic without mass cancellations despite a fuel-truck shortage earlier in the season. The airport previously recorded 75,000 passengers on a single day in early July as the summer break began and foreign carriers resumed service, including Lufthansa.
