According to the charge sheet, the suspect followed the officer, approached her at a crosswalk, punched her repeatedly, kicked her leg, and knocked her to the ground before fleeing. He was apprehended shortly afterward.

The case adds to a series of recent incidents of violence against police officers in the Haifa and Northern districts, as previously reported by The Zioneer. Israel Police has maintained a policy of zero tolerance for attacks on officers.
