The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the elimination of Saba'ai Abu Hasna, a Hamas Nukhba operative who participated in holding hostage Omer Shem Tov during his captivity and was present at the degrading release ceremony where Shem Tov was forced to kiss his head. The strike was conducted by UAV in the northern Gaza Strip, with footage of the aerial attack released by military sources. In a separate operation, also in the northern Strip, three armed Hamas operatives were killed while attempting to advance terror schemes against IDF troops. Abu Hasna was identified as having taken part in the October 7 massacre and had been involved in planting explosives and attempting to renew terrorist activity against forces in the area. The identifications were reported by Nitzan Shapira of N12 and the Jerusalem Post.
