An indictment filed Tuesday against Muhammad Jawid, 32, of Shefa-Amr, charges him with weapons offenses, aiding after the fact, and obstructing a police officer, according to N12. Jawid is accused of assisting Abd al-Fattah Azzam, the suspect in the recent mosque shooting incident in Shefa-Amr.

This is the second indictment in the Shefa-Amr mosque shooting case. The earlier indictment, also filed Tuesday, named Abd al-Fattah Azzam, 47, as the alleged shooter who fired a pistol inside the mosque during a dispute with the imam. Muhammad Jawid is alleged to have assisted Azzam after the incident, including by handling the weapon and obstructing the investigation. The case is being handled by the Northern District Court.
