Prosecutors filed an indictment Sunday against Razi al-Obara (26) of Rahat for the aggravated murder of a minor, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated intentional harm, and weapons offenses, N12 reports. The indictment alleges the murder was over a family feud involving an alleged theft of weapons from the suspect's family.
On Sunday, Israeli prosecutors filed an indictment against Razi al-Obara (26) of Rahat for the aggravated murder of a minor, as well as kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated intentional harm, and weapons offenses. According to N12, the murder was motivated by a family feud: the suspect's family suspected that the victim and his family were involved in stealing weapons from al-Obara's family. Al-Obara and others allegedly tracked a vehicle carrying the victim and his brother and opened fire, causing the victim's death.
This follows the recent reported murder of 17-year-old Anan Abu-Eid in Rahat, which was resolved with a prosecutor's statement against another suspect. In that case, a 28-year-old Rahat resident was charged and suspected of having fled to the West Bank. The current indictment involves a separate incident.
