Iran expands retaliatory strikes: missiles and drones reportedly target US installations in Qatar, UAE, and Oman

Primary source Internal intake · 4 reviewed intake signals · Desk window 08:04

TL;DR

In response to a broad wave of US military strikes, Iran launched missiles and drones at American installations in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, in addition to previously reported targets in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, according to a report. The claims are unverified; details of interceptions or damage are not yet available.

01 · THE DISPATCH

A new report early Monday indicates that Iran's retaliatory strikes against US military installations were wider than what Tehran officially acknowledged, targeting facilities in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, in addition to the previously named countries. The claims expand the scope of the attack beyond what Iran announced in its formal statement.

At 18:51 Sunday, The Zioneer published three simultaneous bulletins: an analyst citing reports of additional missiles toward Gulf states; a broad report naming strikes on six Gulf states—Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait; and Iran's official announcement of strikes on US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, as well as naval vessels. At 07:27 Monday, we reported Iran's announcement of strikes on those three countries. At 08:02, we reported that the US military had struck dozens of targets deep inside Iran overnight and that Iran responded with attacks on those countries. The new report now corroborates the initial broader target set.

The escalation follows a third wave of US strikes on Iranian territory, as The Zioneer reported at 05:47 Sunday. Regional air defense systems have been activated, and US officials have said nearly all projectiles were intercepted, with no American casualties or damage to military installations reported.

The new report is based on a single source; independent verification is pending. No official statements from the affected countries or from CENTCOM have been released yet. No casualties or damage have been reported.
