Brig. Gen. Masoud Jafari, the Iranian Air Force operations coordinator, said Thursday that aside from pilot Majid Kazemi, whose body was returned to Iran, the fate of three other pilots who participated in the March strike on the US Al Udeid base in Qatar remains unknown. Jafari stated that the Iranian military and foreign ministry are coordinating to determine their status.
Iranian Air Force Brig. Gen. Masoud Jafari stated Thursday that the fate of three additional pilots from the March 2026 strike on the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar remains unknown. The body of pilot Majid Kazemi, also killed in the strike, was returned to Iran earlier this month.
As The Zioneer previously reported, Iran claimed responsibility for the strike on Al Udeid, which it described as retaliation for US operations. The IRGC later confirmed via DNA testing that Kazemi was among the pilots killed. Jafari's statement is the first official acknowledgment that three other pilots from the same operation are unaccounted for, with the military and foreign ministry coordinating efforts to determine their status.
