TL;DR

Iran's Deputy Chairman of the Parliament's National Security Commission, Nabavian, said in an interview with SNN that the texts circulating in the media about a potential US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding are only excerpts and not the full document. The remark comes amid a week of conflicting signals from Iranian officials about the status of negotiations.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Commission, Nabavian, told SNN on Wednesday evening that media reports about the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding do not reflect the full text. 'The texts released about the MoU in the media are not complete, and are just excerpts,' he said. The statement follows days of contradictory messaging from Tehran. The Zioneer previously reported that the Foreign Ministry spokesperson initially ruled out a signing 'tomorrow' but later left the door open for the coming days. Separately, Foreign Minister Araghchi said he would only release details after finalization, and opposition has emerged within the Supreme National Security Council from military commanders and former nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili. The final text requires approval by Supreme Leader Khamenei. Nabavian's comments add a further layer of caution, suggesting that selective leaks in the press may not reflect a final or agreed document.
