Iranian outlets are reporting a series of American strikes on the city of Chabahar in southern Iran. The reports, which are unverified, come minutes after a new wave of US strikes on multiple targets was reported, as The Zioneer has covered. Iranian state media has not commented.
At 23:09 Jerusalem, Iranian sources reported that the city of Chabahar in southern Iran was struck by American forces — attributing the explosions first detected hours earlier to a US attack. The reports emerged minutes after a separate unverified report of a new wave of US strikes on multiple targets across Iran, as The Zioneer covered at 23:06 Jerusalem.
Earlier this evening, at 19:17 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported unverified explosions in the wider Chabahar and Baluchestan region, and minutes later specifically near the Imam Ali base in Chabahar, per security analyst Yair Goldblatt. Those initial reports did not identify a cause. The current attribution of the blasts to US strikes, while new, remains unverified and has not been acknowledged by Iranian state media.
If confirmed, the strikes on Chabahar would mark a significant geographic expansion of the ongoing US military campaign against Iranian military infrastructure. As The Zioneer has reported, previous strikes have primarily targeted air defense systems, radar arrays, and command centers in southern Iran, including in Bandar Abbas, Sirik, and Qeshm Island. Chabahar, a strategic port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, lies east of the areas previously struck.
The scope and nature of any strikes on Chabahar have not been detailed. No independent verification is available, and Iranian state media has not commented.
