A new Israel Hayom poll shows Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party leading with 22 Knesset seats, overtaking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud at 20. Naftali Bennett's Beyachad party stands at 13, the Democrats at 9, Yisrael Beiteinu at 9, and Otzma Yehudit at 8.
The latest Israel Hayom survey, published Thursday evening, marks the first time this pollster has shown Yashar (headed by former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot) overtaking the Likud since Eisenkot launched his party earlier this year. The previous Israel Hayom poll in early August showed Likud leading with 23 seats and Yesh Atid at 22; Eisenkot's Yashar party did not exist at that time as a distinct entity. The new poll places Yashar at 22, Likud at 20, and Bennett's Beyachad at 13.
Other parties: Democrats 9, Yisrael Beiteinu 9, Otzma Yehudit 8, United Torah Judaism 7, Shas 7, Hadash-Ta'al 7, Religious Zionism 6, Ra'am 5, Winter 4, and Handel/Zelicha 4. The figures suggest the opposition bloc (including Arab parties) could reach approximately 62 seats, while the coalition bloc stands at around 58 seats, maintaining a narrow opposition advantage.
The poll follows a series of surveys in recent months showing fluctuating support, with Eisenkot's rise continuing a trend observed across multiple pollsters, as The Zioneer has previously reported. The data reflects a competitive political landscape as the country navigates ongoing security and legislative challenges.
