The Israeli Air Force struck the town of Deir al-Zahrani in southern Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, according to initial reports. Deir al-Zahrani is a Shiite-majority town located along the Litani River, roughly 15 km northeast of Tyre, in an area where the IDF has been conducting frequent strikes against Hezbollah targets in recent days. As The Zioneer has reported since last week, the Israeli Air Force has been striking multiple towns and villages across southern Lebanon, striking over eight targets in the Ansariya area on Tuesday, and killing 10 across Tyre and al-Sharqiya on Monday. The reported targets have been predominantly in the belt of villages from which Hezbollah has launched attacks on northern Israel since late 2023. Casualty figures and the specific target of this strike have not yet been reported.
