TL;DR

The Haifa District Court sentenced Tahreer Safadi, an Israeli Arab, to 11 years in prison for aggravated espionage. According to the verdict, Safadi collected and passed sensitive information to his father knowing it was destined for Hossam Zidan, an Iranian state media reporter working for the IRGC Quds Force. Between 2023 and 2024, and especially during the Swords of Iron war, he documented and classified classified intelligence on Israeli tank movements, IDF troop numbers, and impact locations of rockets in northern Israel.
