Twelve Israeli women on a pre-enlistment trip to Spain say they were physically assaulted, sexually harassed, and filmed without consent at two separate parties after being identified as Israeli, according to a report by Israel's Channel 14.
According to a Channel 14 report, the 12 women, who were in Spain before their upcoming IDF enlistment, described two separate incidents. At one party, they were physically attacked and sexually harassed after being identified as Israeli. At another pool party, one of the women was filmed without consent while partygoers chanted 'Free Palestine' and 'Fuck Israel,' the report says. 'We were all crying hysterically, it was abuse,' one of the women told the outlet.
The account is based on the women's testimony and has not been independently verified.
The Zioneer has reported on several other incidents involving Israeli visitors and Jewish communities in Spain this summer, including a case of French Jewish tourists being chased through Barcelona, and a competition where Israeli girls were barred from using the flag. These incidents have drawn attention to rising anti-Israel sentiment in parts of Spain.
