The Jerusalem District Court sentenced Shimon Adiel Hadari to 12.5 years in prison on Tuesday after convicting him of multiple counts of severe sexual offenses against a minor relative. The offenses took place during two visits Hadari made to Israel between 2003 and 2006, when the victim was 11 to 13 years old. According to the indictment, some acts occurred at the Western Wall and in his rental car, and on another occasion while he was wrapped in a prayer shawl and tefillin.
