A localized ceasefire, brokered by the IAEA, took effect today near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to facilitate crucial power line repairs. The 750 kV power line was disconnected over two months ago, leaving Europe's largest nuclear plant reliant on a single 330 kV line for cooling its six shutdown reactors. This is the sixth temporary ceasefire negotiated by IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi between Russia and Ukraine since late last year to ensure nuclear safety.
