Lufthansa and ITA have resumed flights to Israel after a long suspension, according to the companies. Air Baltic is also restarting its Riga–Tel Aviv route.
Lufthansa and Italy's ITA Airways have resumed flights to Israel after a prolonged suspension, joining a growing list of carriers returning to Ben Gurion Airport. Air Baltic is also relaunching its route from Riga to Tel Aviv. The announcements, reported by the companies, mark another step in the recovery of Israeli civil aviation, which saw several airlines suspend operations during the security situation. As The Zioneer reported last week, the Lufthansa Group had already announced a significant expansion of its Israel schedule for July and August. Wizz Air resumed operations in early June, and Terminal 1 reopened last week for low-cost carriers.
