A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Venezuela on Saturday evening, according to i24NEWS. The tremor follows the twin earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 that devastated parts of the country on Thursday, June 25, leaving at least 164 dead and widespread structural damage. Dozens of aftershocks have been recorded since, including this latest event. Seismologists had previously assessed an 8% probability of further earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater in the region, as The Zioneer reported.
