The military prosecution in Judea and Samaria announced Thursday the filing of an indictment against Shadi Jum'a for the 2007 murder of Ido Zoldan. According to the indictment, Jum'a and two accomplices conspired to ambush Israeli vehicles on a main road. On November 19, 2007, they identified Zoldan's car, approached it, and shot him at close range, killing him before fleeing the scene.
Jum'a was recently released from Palestinian Authority custody and was re-arrested in a joint operation by the IDF, Shin Bet, and the Gideonim 33 unit in Qalqilya on May 26, 2026. The indictment charges him with causing death with intent (the equivalent of murder). The case highlights the ongoing Israeli security operations to pursue perpetrators of terrorism, including those previously held by the Palestinian Authority.
