The Zioneer first reported the crash at 16:16 Jerusalem on Saturday, initially stating that a 25-year-old motorcyclist had been killed. By the same timestamp, updates confirmed the victim's age as 25 and added that two others were injured—one moderately and one lightly—in the collision. Magen David Adom paramedics reported that the motorcyclist was found unconscious with severe injuries and pronounced dead at the scene; a 35-year-old car driver was moderately injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The claim that Shatil attended a motorcycle gathering on Friday has not been independently verified.
