Opposition sources: Arab parties cut deal with Haredim, skipped vote on Torah Study Basic Law

Opposition sources told Dafna Liel (N12) that the Arab parties struck a deal with the Haredi factions and did not show up for the Knesset vote on the Torah Study Basic Law. In exchange, they reportedly received a guarantee that MK Itamar Ben Gvir's 'muezzin bill' would be blocked and not advanced. Meanwhile, four coalition MKs — Yuli Edelstein and Dan Illouz (Likud), Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel, and Moshe Solomon (Religious Zionism) — voted against the bill, putting them in line with the opposition.
