Israel's Border Police (Magav) from the Jerusalem Envelope and Crossing Guards units foiled an overnight smuggling attempt in which two illegal residents were concealed in a car trunk while the vehicle also carried a family with children, police said.
The thwarting occurred during a targeted operation by Border Police forces. The two illegal residents were discovered hidden in the trunk of a vehicle that also carried a family with children, according to police. No further details on the identities of the suspects or the family were immediately released. The Zioneer has previously reported on similar smuggling attempts in the Jerusalem area, including an operation in June in which eight illegal residents were intercepted in a commercial vehicle.
