A pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Road 25 near the President Junction in the Negev overnight, according to the Magen David Adom (MDA) spokesperson. One other person was lightly injured and evacuated to Soroka Hospital.
Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that at 00:17 a call was received regarding a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Road 25 near the President Junction. MDA medics and paramedics arrived to find a man approximately 40 years old with no signs of life, suffering from multi-system trauma, and pronounced him dead at the scene. An additional MDA team treated one injured person in light condition and evacuated her to Soroka Hospital. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation. The Zioneer has reported on several traffic fatalities in the Negev this month, including a fatal collision on Route 90 last Friday.
