Officers found an M16 rifle, pistol magazines, a stun grenade, and a large quantity of ammunition during the operation. The foiled attack is the latest in a series of police operations in the city targeting organized crime and illegal arms. As The Zioneer reported on June 25, police and the Shin Bet arrested a Umm al-Fahm resident in a June 2 raid, seizing two M16 rifles. On July 5, four suspects were arrested in connection with a murder in the city. The police continue their crackdown on criminal infrastructure in the Arab sector under Operation Iron Net.
