US Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL) sharply criticized Vice President JD Vance over remarks about Israel, saying Vance ought to study history because Israel was not established by the United States. Fine called Vance's comments 'extraordinarily disrespectful' in an interview Wednesday evening.
US Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL) escalated his public dispute with Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday evening, directly calling on Vance to 'go study history' over remarks in which Vance said Israel was founded by the United States.
"I think JD Vance needs to go study history. He said that Israel was created by the United States. That's just not true," Fine told an interviewer. Fine added that Vance's remarks were "extraordinarily disrespectful."
The criticism is the latest in a string of public clashes between Fine and Vance. As The Zioneer reported, Fine previously demanded Vance apologize to the American people, accused Vance of using a tone that 'sounded hostile' toward Israel, and posted a tweet with the slogan 'Anyone But JD 2028.' Fine is a Jewish Republican representing Florida.
Vance has made several statements in recent weeks about Israel, including remarks that Israel was 'built from our money' and that he trusts no one when asked about Israeli reliability. Fine's latest broadside underscores ongoing tensions within the Republican Party over the administration's stance toward Israel.
