The wildfire that swept through the Samaria community of Havat Gilad on Saturday has claimed another victim. Elad Cohen, a resident and reservist who has served hundreds of days in Gaza and Lebanon, said his art studio—'HaMeshusha,' which hosted workshops, events, and thousands of clients from across Israeli society—was completely destroyed.
Cohen is launching a fundraising campaign to rebuild the business, which also served as a therapeutic space for soldiers and bereaved families. He noted that he is already scheduled for another 90 days of reserve duty in Lebanon this summer.
The appeal is the latest in a series of similar fundraising efforts from Havat Gilad residents after the same wildfire, as earlier reported by The Zioneer. Other residents, including Naftali Yafeh and a Givati reservist identified as Yishai, have also launched campaigns to rebuild homes and businesses lost in the blaze.
