The Samaria Regional Council and Amana settlement movement have begun preparations to establish the new community of Noa in northern Samaria, pending government approval. A group of prospective families visited the site alongside council head Yossi Dagan, who said the community will be built near the former settlements of Ganim and Kadim, which were evacuated in 2005 and are slated for rebuilding this summer as part of the council's 'Hitchabrut' (Connection) plan.
The initiative marks the first concrete step toward establishing Noa, a new community in northern Samaria. The prospective families toured the land Sunday evening together with Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, who stated: 'Noa will be a magnificent settlement — together we are making history and restoring values and security to the State of Israel.' The community is planned adjacent to Ganim and Kadim, settlements evacuated in the 2005 disengagement, which the council also expects to rebuild this summer as part of the wider Hitchabrut plan. As The Zioneer reported June 9, Dagan presented the 18-community Hitchabrut initiative at a Washington conference, where multiple Republican lawmakers expressed support. Government approval for Noa remains pending.
