A third woman has successfully passed the IDF's rabbinical qualification exams following a High Court of Justice ruling that opened the exams to women, according to Mordechai Halperin on Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio). Halperin reported Thursday afternoon that the latest female candidate passed the exam on the laws of mourning (dinhei aveilut). Two other female candidates who took the exam did not achieve a passing grade, the report said. The development follows an earlier High Court decision that mandated the IDF to allow women to take the rabbinical exams, a role previously reserved for men. The first woman passed the exams in early June, as The Zioneer reported.
