Muhammad Halaila, approximately 50, was killed in Deir Hanna, and Muhammad Kasab, in his 30s, was killed in Umm al-Fahm, according to N12 reporter Or Ravid.
The killings bring the number of Arab citizens killed in crime-related violence over the past eight days to 18, as The Zioneer reported earlier today that 16 had been killed in an eight-day period. The Abraham Initiatives, which tracks fatalities in Arab society, updated its tally to 152 victims since the start of 2026 — an 18% increase from 128 in the same period last year. The organization has recorded a steady rise in killings throughout the year, with previous Zioneer bulletins reporting totals of 129, 131, 142, and 146 at various points.
The circumstances of the two overnight shootings remain under investigation. No arrests have been reported.
