01 · THE DISPATCH

Ukraine's General Staff (AFU) announced on Saturday afternoon that Ukrainian drones destroyed a base of the Russian Baltic Fleet in Kronstadt, a fortified district within St. Petersburg. The strike was part of a large-scale overnight attack on the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast region.

According to the AFU, the attack "caused damage to the facility, followed by a fire in the port area." The extent of the damage is still being assessed. President Volodymyr Zelensky separately confirmed the strike on a "significant military target" in Kronstadt, noting the distance from the Ukrainian border exceeds 850 km. The Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (UUF) stated that Russian Navy warships, including vessels undergoing repairs and maintenance, are stationed at the Kronstadt base, which oversees the maritime approaches to St. Petersburg.

Kiev has not released footage or photographic evidence confirming the strike on the base. Kronstadt was previously struck by Ukrainian forces on June 6, with the Naval Cadet Corps reportedly damaged. Three days earlier, the SBU reported an attack on a "warship docking site" at the naval base, and UUF Commander Robert Brovdi claimed the corvette "Boyky" was hit.

The Zioneer previously reported (Saturday 10:40) on a massive overnight Ukrainian attack on hundreds of targets across Russia, including St. Petersburg. This bulletin details one specific target of that wider operation.
