A Ukrainian medium-range one-way attack drone struck a Russian Pantsir-S2 air defense system in Zaporizhzhia overnight, according to a single-source report. The drone operator initially missed the target with the first drone, but a second drone successfully located the concealed system and hit it. The Pantsir-S2 is a Russian short-to-medium-range surface-to-air missile and gun system.
Damage and casualties from the strike have not yet been reported. No independent confirmation of the hit was available at this time.
As The Zioneer has previously reported in background coverage, Ukrainian drone operations against Russian military assets and infrastructure deep inside Russia and in occupied Ukrainian territory have continued through June. However, this report is currently based on a single source and should be treated as unconfirmed pending further updates.
