US Vice President JD Vance told Joe Rogan he represents the 'reasonable center' in America's polarized debate on Israel, and described Israel as an ally like France or Britain — with disagreements as well as agreements, according to Channel 12.
During a wide-ranging Joe Rogan podcast interview, Vice President JD Vance addressed the charged US debate over Israel, positioning himself as a moderate voice.
"There's a huge debate for and against Israel — I'm the reasonable center," Vance said, as reported Wednesday night by Channel 12. He added that Israel is an ally like France or Britain, with whom the US has both disagreements and agreements.
Earlier Wednesday, The Zioneer reported that in the same interview Vance said Israel is more effective than most nations at influencing US policy and claimed Jeffrey Epstein had ties to Israeli intelligence. Vance's remarks come as he remains a key architect of the Trump administration's emerging US-Iran agreement, which has drawn criticism from some Israeli officials.
