The victim of today's stabbing attack near Itamar in Samaria has been identified as Itamar Cohen, owner of the well-known 'Itamar's Farm', according to Amit Segal (N12). The identification follows a series of updates on the attack, which occurred Thursday afternoon.
At 12:25, initial reports emerged of a stabbing near Itamar, with the victim seriously wounded and two terrorists neutralized by a bystander. The IDF soon confirmed that the terrorists had set a fire as a lure, and that the victim was a volunteer who had arrived to help extinguish it. By 13:14, the IDF added that the victim was approximately 51 years old and was assisting at Havat Avraham farm. Security forces cordoned off the village of Beit Furik and are searching the area. The wounded man was evacuated by a Unit 669 helicopter.
The attack is the latest in a series of security incidents in the West Bank. As The Zioneer reported on June 8, victims of a shooting attack in the Sharon region have since shown improvement.
