One of the two terrorists involved in the stabbing attack near Alon Moreh in Samaria earlier today has been identified as Mahmoud Hussein Nasrallah Hanani, a released prisoner, according to a security-affiliated source. The source said Hanani was arrested on 15 November 2025 and released after several months. A photograph of him on the Temple Mount has been circulated. The identification comes hours after the attack, which left a 50-year-old man seriously wounded.
The attack unfolded around 12:25 Jerusalem, when two terrorists set a fire at Havat Avraham, a farm outpost near Alon Moreh, and then stabbed Itamar Cohen, who was helping extinguish the blaze. Another civilian at the scene shot and killed the two assailants. The IDF imposed a blockade on the nearby village of Beit Furik, from which the terrorists originated. By 13:14 Jerusalem, the IDF confirmed the details and that Cohen was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital. The victim's identity was reported shortly after the attack.
