Earlier Monday, The Zioneer reported that Segalovitz would join Ra'am and issue a joint statement with Abbas. At a press conference in the evening, the two formally announced the union. During the event, Segalovitz addressed critics of the alliance: 'There will be those who say this is political weakness, but as far as I'm concerned, there is more strength and power here,' he said, as relayed by N12 journalist Muhammad Majadla. Segalovitz added that the common claim 'that after October 7 you cannot maintain a political partnership with Arab parties is false and baseless.' The move follows weeks of political contacts between the two, first reported by N12 and Ynet.
