Khader Jamasi
Khader Jamasi was a senior Hamas operative who served as the head of the organization's funds transfer network in the Gaza Strip until his elimination in June 2026.
Khader Jamasi was a central figure in the financial infrastructure of Hamas, specifically tasked with overseeing the complex network of money transfers that sustained the group's military operations. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Jamasi managed a sophisticated system involving dozens of money exchangers across the Gaza Strip. This network was responsible for funneling tens of millions of dollars to the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, particularly during the ongoing conflict. These funds were utilized to pay operative salaries and finance the planning and execution of attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces.
On June 7, 2026, Jamasi was targeted and killed in an IDF airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip. The operation also eliminated his deputy, Muhammad Harazin. The removal of Jamasi is viewed by Israeli security officials as a significant blow to Hamas's ability to maintain its financial liquidity and sustain its military apparatus in northern Gaza. His role was critical in bypassing international financial monitoring and ensuring that liquid capital reached the front lines of the insurgency. While other figures like Ihab Khrizim have been identified in similar roles in southern areas like Khan Yunis, Jamasi's oversight of the northern network made him a high-priority target for the Shin Bet's financial warfare division.
