Netanyahu: Israel establishing buffer zone in southern Lebanon, will prevent Iran nuclear arms

According to reports citing the address, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel is establishing a security zone—a buffer area—within southern Lebanon. The stated objective of this zone is to prevent Hezbollah from carrying out cross-border attacks against Israeli civilians and military positions.

Security Strategy in Lebanon

The Prime Minister's remarks suggest that the current military presence in southern Lebanon is being formalized into a strategic buffer. "There are still things we need to do in Lebanon," Netanyahu noted, indicating that the operation to secure the northern border remains in a dynamic phase.
