An investigation by the Lebanese Al-Makhta network claims that Israeli Mossad operatives infiltrated from Syria via Wadi Khaled, assassinated Sāfi Ghazawi in Tripoli, and fled on a motorcycle later recovered. Lebanese security officials say Ghazawi was a liaison for two Hamas operatives killed in previous airstrikes. Two others were wounded in the shooting.
The Lebanese Al-Makhta network published an investigation claiming that Mossad operatives infiltrated from Syria via Wadi Khaled, assassinated Palestinian youth Sāfi Ghazawi in Tripoli, and escaped on a motorcycle that was later recovered. Lebanese security officials told the network that Ghazawi was targeted because he served as a liaison for two Hamas operatives, Wessam and Sa'id al-Ali, who were killed in previous airstrikes. Two others were seriously wounded in the shooting: Ibrahim Azzam and a passerby.
As The Zioneer reported earlier today, Lebanese security had initially accused Mossad of the killing. The new investigation provides a detailed operational account, including the infiltration route and the recovery of the getaway vehicle.
Israeli officials have not commented on the claims. The report relies on a single Lebanese media source and local security assessments, and remains unverified by independent or Israeli sources.
