An unverified image circulating on social media Wednesday night, July 8, purportedly shows a fire at the Nadasa Power Plant in the Iranian port city of Chabahar. The image, reported at 23:42 Jerusalem, appears to be the latest visual claim in a series of unverified reports of explosions and attacks in Chabahar throughout the evening.
Earlier tonight, at 23:20 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported on multiple unverified developments: an attack on a power station in Chabahar, additional explosions at the port, and power outages. Initial footage of strikes in the city also emerged. The reports, attributed to Iranian Telegram channels and Israeli journalist Asaf Rozenzweig, have not been confirmed by Iranian state media.
The Zioneer has previously documented unverified footage and satellite imagery of fires at Iranian infrastructure sites, including at Sirik port and Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as part of a broader pattern of reported attacks on Iranian energy and military installations.
The authenticity of the new image, its source, and the timing and cause of the fire at the Nadasa Power Plant remain unconfirmed. No independent verification has been possible, and Iranian authorities have not commented.
