Nerya Leiter was critically wounded in a car-ramming terror attack in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria on Wednesday. He was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he remains hospitalized. Ambassador Leiter, who was in Washington at the time, returned to Israel following the attack.
The ambassador's older son, Moshe Leiter, fell in battle in the Gaza Strip earlier in the conflict. The family has been at the center of national attention.
